Finally getting some work done on photos of my trip-before-last :P. This one is from our trip to Turkey, specifically the part where we had a family reunion in the Antalya region, at a resort called the Kremlin Palace. It’s cute cause our family is mostly from Russia.. I really enjoyed having a view of a building that reminded me of mother country. I want to make another page with a bigger picture of the resort and a cute one of us. So really this is part of a two pager.

ARTastic Design Team – January Challenge
I am absolutely in love with this layout! I adore how it turned out (even prettier than I had pictured it!). This layout is my first DT layout for the ARTastic challenge blog. When I saw the inspiration picture, I immediately knew what paper I wanted to use and what I wanted to express with the layout. The painting that we were inspired by this month is called Bondi Scene by Isabelle May Tweddle.
The challenge criteria was summer theme. I love summer, and sun, and all things hot ;) and especially the beach. I used a photo that I took at the beach of my feet in the sand and surf.
Stick it Down January Challenge – Flamenco Fusion
This is my first design team post! This is for the Stick it Down challenge blog. The sketch we were working from is this one:
The first thing I worked on was the layering strips down the right side. I built that up using vellum, a cut apart strip, ripped cardstock, and gold washi tape, as well as some stitching for lots of texture.
Design Teams Shameless Plug
Just wanted to post a little announcement: I will be on TWO design teams in the new year, and I am very excited to be a part of both of them!
The first one is challenge blog where I will be making single pages from page maps/sketches. It’s called Stick it Down challenge blog and I would like to encourage you to go check it out and participate in the challenges if that’s your kinda thing!
The second one is an ART challenge blog, where the inspiration comes from a piece of art. How cool is that? That one is ARTastic challenge blog and you can also participate, win prizes and recognition, etc.
Check them out, and follow for inspiration and to see mine and the rest of the team’s take on the challenges.

Christmas Card Week – Day 5
Here is the last of my Christmas cards! They are all signed, stamped, enveloped, and mailed (or given). And now they are all on here too!
I got some hand lettering going on and doodley wreaths.
I had to change my whole setup for these two cards, as they are blue hued.
Christmas Card week – Day 4
I made one big set of cards in this style:
I had a huge crush on the Pinkfresh Studio Christmas wishes line. I wasn’t able to get my hand on it, so I tried to emulate the look and feel of the collection the best I could.
I loved the colours in the collection- teal green, pinky red, pale blue and white, so I found all the supplies in my stash in those colours.
Christmas Card Week – Day 3
And we are back with cards! Today I have a bunch of tree themed cards:

Christmas Tree
I’m taking a quick break from card week to bring you Tree Day!
I am just super pleased with how it turned out this year. We decided to get a real tree, and it is my first real tree ever! It is also about twice the size of our fake tree, which meant I got to go shopping and buy all new ornaments! It’s only 4 feet tall, but it sits on our coffee table and takes up like half the apartment anyways.
Christmas Card Week – Day 2
It’s day 2 of card week, and today I am showing you my more artsy cards. I used a little bit of mixed media and doodling on these ones:
The cards are also in Russian! They are for my aunt and grandma who live in Russia and Ukraine.

Christmas Card Week – Day 1
I love hand making cards every year. And I got a little rule that every card has to be unique. I usually end up making 2-4 cards of a style. This year I made 9 different styles of card. For this set, I used Close to my Heart supplies.
And this little set features Elle’s Studio.
