You May Feed Me Now
For the photo itself, I wanted to do something different, because it wasn’t a photo of Tiger. I printed it on white cardstock and cut it in a circle with my Silhouette. I then used Versamark and clear embossing powder to make it shiny, but with a texture. I made the frame by cutting two donuts, and then cutting up the bigger donut into chunks, which I glued randomly to the top to create a sort of 3D gear shape. I have made a cut file for that, which is available below.
I also kept the packaging from some of his favorite snacks- yogurt and cheese. Yeah he was a bit weird, but he went bananas for those (though at least he didn’t eat bananas?). We are lucky he wasn’t lactose intolerant! For the journaling, I made a little journaling card using this as my base and editing it to add a title and change the color in picmonkey. I kept the journaling in pencil for now because I wanted to confirm with his mom what the order of his favorite foods was.
For the title, I cut the words using a simple sans serif font on my computer from black cardstock and then did a couple of coats of clear embossing powder applied with my Versamarker. I love the shiny enamel-like look that it creates.
For the finishing touches, I added blue washi tape and silver food bowl/fish puffy stickers from the dollar store.
Do you have any non-traditional printing techniques that you use when you want your photos to look different?
