I made one big set of cards in this style:
I had a huge crush on the Pinkfresh Studio Christmas wishes line. I wasn’t able to get my hand on it, so I tried to emulate the look and feel of the collection the best I could.
I loved the colours in the collection- teal green, pinky red, pale blue and white, so I found all the supplies in my stash in those colours.
I also love the whimsy and cutesy feel so I tried to emulate it the best I could.
I cut a whole bunch of the merry xmas out and also kept the negatives. I used Crate Paper Flea Market vellum for the trees, and as a layering piece.
Foam alphas, gold stitching, and washi tapes added to the whimsical feel.
Tangled thread a la Missy Whidden added an interesting touch to a card.
One of the easiest designs for a card is horizontal stripes.
I also have a ton of that teal twine which matched pretty well. I had to keep those cards away from the cat though, he loves that teal rope.
I think I did a pretty decent job in capturing the feel of the collection (if only I had gotten my hands on it….).
Last card day tomorrow!
xoxo
