I love hand making cards every year. And I got a little rule that every card has to be unique. I usually end up making 2-4 cards of a style. This year I made 9 different styles of card. For this set, I used Close to my Heart supplies.
And this little set features Elle’s Studio.
Keep reading for close-ups and details.
I made these cards at a crop that was run by my friend who sells Close to my Heart. She gave a challenge for the crop- make 2 cards or 1 layout using 6 products from the goodie bags. In the goodie bags we got 1 piece of patterned paper, two journal cards, two pieces of cardstock and some green and gold sparkle tape.
It was quite the challenge but I managed to make 6 cards with supplies, as well as a few bits from my stash. To stretch the pattern paper, I also used the branding strip.
For the next set of cards, I got a pack of Elle’s Studio goodies along with my Canadian Scrapbooker magazine. That was a super fun surprise! I used two of the journal cards on my Christmas cards.
I stamped merry christmas in light green all over one, and just added the card and a string bow. For the other, I cut the be merry (from a cut file that I got last year in the Silhouette store), and an ampersand to glue on the journal card, and then just stitched in gold around the edge for a touch of sparkle and texture. I love how they turned out, and they were so simple to make!
Stay tuned for tomorrow, where I will show my next two sets of cards.
xoxo
