I absolutely love how scrapbooking can put me in a better mood! When I started this page, I was feeling uncreative, uninspired, and generally blah. But the more work I put in, the happier I became when I was able to create something adorable.
I started with my origami cat cut file, which I made earlier that week. Geometric designs are so popular right now, so I just had to make one for my cat scrap book.
I also found a way of backing this thin cut file easily- I took a piece of scrap printer paper and used a sketch pen in my Silhouette to draw the inner lines and then cut the outer lines. I then used that to glue on my pattern papers and the cut out on top. Another thing that cheered me up was opening the package of cat wooden shapes from Seven Paper and discovering that there were 2 designs in there! I thought there was 4 of the one cat shape but there was 2 shapes and it was adorable!
I love layering papers! I also had fun splattering watercolors and shimmer mists. And if you can’t be cheered up by puffy stickers….
I also finally got to use these dollar store glitter rub-ons that I bought a while ago, but didn’t make anything that they would match, until this page. It was my first rub-on and I loved it. So fun to apply. For the title, I used my Dear Lizzy Thickers and outlined them with a dashed line in orange Sharpie to make them really stand out.
Here’s the origami cat cut file that I used:
