This is the second layout I did in this style. It is a scraplift of a scraplift. You can read part 1 here. I did a couple of things different for this layout.
Its an 8×8, not 12×12, so it can fit into my Tiger book. I didn’t gesso the cardstock first, because it warped the first layout so much, but the watercolor warped it anyways, and the colors weren’t as bright. Though that might have been because I used watercolor pencils instead of regular watercolors. I used different colors and a different font (Cooper Std). I used the same dollar store/home made/stash and stuff from my aunt that I used on the previous layout, as well as the same name brand ephemera (the camera and the cutie circle). The other thing I did differently was to cut the photo into a blob and mat it with white cardstock, then stitch around the photo in coordinating colors with embroidery floss.
Here are the close-ups:
Look at the belly!!!
