I’ve been so busy this past couple of weeks that I’m really glad I have this backlog of secret bellydance album pages to blog about! I love this photo of us as marionettes and I wanted large and front and center. I also wanted to do a literal marionette with the embellishments.
I agonized for a long time about what to make the marionette shapes. I considered dolls but thought that would take away from the photo. I finally settled on the ones I used here. I backed them with cardstock and popped them onto foam tape.
For the title, I used every single alpha that I had in my stash. This is a fun way to use up letters that you can’t spell a whole word with.
I used a coffee stirrer as the control bar and ran strings up and down my page. I added stars from MME’s Now & Then ephemera pack, sequins & gems, dollar store key stickers and paint splatters.
