Happy labour day weekend, I had a great weekend of catching up on my scrapbooking! I am so pleased with this page. I love how it all came together, and I used a wood veneer that came with my Scraptastic Club kit that I wasn’t sure how to use.
I also had fun making this paw heart background cut file (download can be found at the end of this post).
I’ve had a color crush on this combination of apricot and peachy pink. I used an ink dauber to dab pink ink all over the cut and on the wood veneer to make the us stand out, and gold ink to make the all more apricot. I layered the veneer over vellum to make it pop against the similarly colored background. I added pink enamel dots and seafoam green thread for pops of color on this otherwise neutral colored layout.
For the title I used Jillibean soup alphas and a cut from grey cardstock. I also used grey thread to stitch lines on the photos to separate them, since I didn’t layer or mat under them.
A Teresa Collins Save The Date chipboard sticker covered up an oopsie where I had cut my cardstock a bit too short and the cut file got a tad truncated…. rather than pitch the whole piece, I got creative!
